When you’re tucking into the turkey, mince pies and pudding over Christmas, have you ever wondered how much exercise you need to do to work off your festive feast? Many of us consume more calories than we think through food and drink on Christmas Day alone; back in 2012, BBC Good Food reported the figure to be around 6,000 on average.
According to Government guidelines, the recommended daily calorie intake for men is 2,500kcals, 2,000kcals for women and 1,800kcals for children.
